Isaiah 43:19 

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

It is important to note that during the time of this passage, it was not common practice to make roads through the desert. It is also true that one cannot even build a house or lay any foundation in a desert without proper reinforcement that only became available long after the time of this prophecy. There is no stability in the ground, because sand does not hold together. When God moved Isaiah to make this prophetic announcement it was breaking news with a human stamp of “impossible’’, but thanks be to the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ through whom all things are possible. However, God was not referring to actual roads, but he was using this metaphor to show that what was impossible with men is possible with Him.

I bring you this announcement today from the throne room of heaven. God will do a new thing in your life. Whatever you reckoned humanly impossible is changing this instant in the spirit realm to possible. Change your position and begin to see the paths and streams in your desert. Begin to see God taking you out of that pit and placing you on a sure foundation. Your desert will become a land of plenty. God will give you victory in the very place you thought was your valley of defeat. May you see His hand at work in your life from this moment on?
